At Centro Histórico, between residential and commercial buildings you suddenly can see yourself in front of a castle. A bizarre example of medieval architecture, with big walls made of rock and gothic windows constructed by the ending of 1940’s decade, on the last century, because of a politician’s order for living with his lover. A story of love and mystery. Regardless of its height, the building is small and with narrow stairs and tiny terrace. The little fort is around the corner of General Vasco Alves Street with Fernando Machado Street.
